TOP 40

If you’re self-employed, you’re probably familiar with freelance work. Whether you’re a blogger, researcher, or journalist, one of the most common ways for «our kind» to get work is by suggesting new ideas to different publications in a process called “pitching.”

You could be a phenomenal writer or having great ideas, but if you cannot craft a good pitch email, you might never catch an editor’s attention. However, this was never an issue to me. What has always bothered me is the fact that I can’t send all the samples of work I want to. As most of you probably know, you can’t usually send more than three samples of work to an editor. The email will look too long and strange to them and they may not even pay attention to it.

Since this isn’t a pitch though, I can create my own chart with as many samples as I fancy, no? So, here’s my top 40 hits so far…
